VOIP Engineer Description: Direct hire. Partially remote.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and deliver solutions on the MS Teams and AudioCodes platform
Plan, deploy, manage, and maintain MS Direct Routing, Endpoints, Teams Clients, and Phone System capabilities
Recommend tools and capabilities to optimize and enhance AudioCodes Teams experience using On-Premises, Cloud-based, and Hybrid Resources
Collaborate with other Network Systems Analysts, Computer Scientists, and end-users
Configure, test, deploy and maintain/upgrade unified communications/telephony systems
Conduct adds/moves/changes and perform preventative maintenance on telephony systems
Proactively monitor and resolve potential service interruptions
Provide expert level analysis of SIP call flows, including problem isolation and resolution
Design and implementation of Direct Routing on SIP, PRI, ISDN E1 Trunks, AudioCodes Session Border Controllers and telephony architecture
Interact and cooperate with carriers and partners to continually improve call delivery reliability and quality
Provide Tier 3 support for telecom service requests and repairs received via service tickets
Develop and maintain end-user training materials and documentation
Design, optimize, and implement telephony systems and changes throughout the organization
Plan for and design systems for future growth
Mentor Voice Engineers
Provide after-hours support as needed
Skills & Experience:
Highly experienced with on premise, cloud, and hybrid MS Teams Voice architecture with emphasis on AudioCodes suite including OVOC, ARM, Mediant 800, MP124/114, RX50/RX100, C448/450
Proficiency with the underlying service architecture of Microsoft Teams including performance optimization, reporting, Call Quality Dashboards, and SmartTAP
Experience with MS Cloud PBX system and/or Audio Codes products
Solid understanding of VoiP configuration including CODEC types, bandwidth calculations, and QoS configuration
Ability to support all Unified Communications components including troubleshooting, configuration, optimization, and design of a multi-cluster environment
Experience architecting and building applications to be deployed to Microsoft Azure
Experience with end-to-end SIP testing including PSTN interworking
Full understanding of SIP trunking and endpoints
Strong PowerShell scripting experience
Experience with telephony systems and services such as PSTN, ISDN, PRI, SIP trunks
Strong computer science and web development understanding
Troubleshooting experience
