Phoenix House Exeter Center, located in a peaceful rural southern Rhode Island setting, provides treatment in an environment exclusively for men with alcohol and/or drug abuse problems. Our continuum of care on campus ranges, depending upon each client's needs, from medically monitored detoxification to short- and long-term

residential treatment. Our residential treatment combines vital counseling, educational, and recreational programs that challenge residents to understand the nature of their substance abuse, commit to living without alcohol and drugs, and acquire successful life skills. Because successful recovery requires the involvement and support of each

resident's family, individual and group family sessions are integral components of treatment. Phoenix House also offers individualized aftercare plans, which are essential in establishing long-term recovery. At Exeter Center, clients experience a new sense of purpose and are motivated to pursue positive goals and values. Our detoxification program offers safe withdrawal from substance use, admitting clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Each client is seen by a licensed physician.
