âWe are an established Property management company who specializes in landscaping and snow removal in the East Bay area of RI and Southeastern MA. We are under new ownership with plans to grow. We are looking for an assistant manager who has prior experience. If you are a hard worker, not afraid to get your hands dirty and are looking to grow into management, we would like to talk to you.
If you are interested in both landscape work and management, this might be the career to consider. â You will begin by getting to know our business from the ground up so that you can build relationships with our current customers as well as understand our procedures and work expectations. You will get to know our staff and are also expected to do landscaping and snow removal.
Assistant Landscape managers oversee both the landscape project plan and the workers who implement it. Job responsibilities include meeting with clients (or management) to develop or refine plans for the project, which may include ornamental plants, ground cover, and landscaping structures (e.g., walkways, water, and lighting). Other job duties include estimating costs and negotiating prices for plants, equipment, and employees. We need someone who is well spoken in English and is strong in math and written and interpersonal communications. Spanish as a second language would be an added plus.
Assistant Landscape managers assist in supervising the workers who install and maintain landscaping and doing this work yourself as well. This may involve scheduling work crews, planning daily work activities, and monitoring the work being done. Assistant Landscape managers may also be responsible for training workers, especially on safety procedures when large equipment or hazardous materials are involved.
