We are a growing Rhode Island company, designing and manufacturing complex stitched protective gear for military, law enforcement, and mental health industries, as well as start-ups and established small businesses with dreams and goals We are looking for a new team member to seamlessly support our president and operations manager in sample pattern making and prototype creation. We will add a bit of training for the right person with the knowledge and skillset of industrial sewing of pattern making. Nobody makes what we make we are unique!
If you know the ins-and-outs of sewing on a manufacturing/industrial level, love to take things apart and put them back together, can identify every stitch known to mankind, but understand that you dont know absolutely everything, wed like to talk to you!
Some of the Day-to-Day Responsibilities include:Create sample patterns for new and long-term customers by listening to their needs and specifications adapting these to production.
The ability to learn and both long and short-term goals of the company
Sitting in on a meeting with new or existing customers, addressing their concerns as needed.
Support operations manager as needed.
Research related to specs for projects and tracking, organization and presenting of information
Willingness to jump in to production, assembly, packing, quality control when deadlines demand all hands-on deck!
QualificationsComputer literacy
Flat pattern drafting
History of manufacturing in sewing.
Dependable, independent and self-motivated, committed to completing projects assigned
Willingness to go the extra mile, thrives on continuous learning, desire to please
Proven problem-solver, creative resourcefulness, clear communicator
Knowledge of the variety of industrial sewing machines is a plus!
