Blackstone Group Leasing & Management, is looking for skilled Service Technicians (handyman) candidates to join our team! Our maintenance crew performs property maintenance, as well as apartment turnovers. We have properties covering most of Rhode Island, but mainly in the Providence areas. Our service technicians would be responding to work orders generated by our maintenance contact center when they receive maintenance requests from tenants and also at the direction of our office for things like preventative maintenance and prevention.
The ideal applicant would meet the following criteria:
Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
Estimate time and extent of repairs
Perform routine preventive maintenance
Maintain material and supply inventory
Communicate with office regarding work order status
General light construction and carpentry, woodwork, painting, fix toilets, faucets, fix leaks, clogged drains etc
Facility Repairs: doors, doorknobs, locks, broken tiles, staining, etc
Apartment cleanouts: helping, organize, moving furniture, etc.
Landscaping, Snow plowing, Pick up trash, etc.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
Ability to handle physical workload
Has own transportation
3-year minimum or more experience as a handyman
Basic understanding of plumbing, carpentry, General construction
