Due to our continued growth in RI, Optima is looking for a Part Time Employee Delivery Courier Driver to join our fleet for dedicated routes! In business since the 1970s, Optima's company goals are professionalism, great customer service, and a team approach. Most importantly, every one of Optima's over 150 drivers has a single mission: to get our customers' shipments delivered on time.
DESCRIPTION
Consistent weekly work, small package delivery routes in assigned territories (primarily payroll deliveries). This position uses your personal vehicle, for which usage we would reimburse you at $0.28 per mile.
Start day receiving small packages from our warehouse in NORTH PROVIDENCE; then, using your own car, follow a pre-determined route delivering these packages to various offices in the RI area. Once you have finished distributing your materials, your day is over! No need to report back anywhere at the end of your shift. This route has about 60 - 75 stops on any given day. You would be driving approximately 60 - 85 miles per day.
DUTIES
Approximately 26 - 31 hrs / week, currently hiring for the following schedule:
MORNING SCHEDULE = T-F, 7am - 2pm (all end times approximate)
TWO REGIONS AVAILABLE FOR ASSIGNMENT!
RT 51 = Barrington-Bristol-Newport-Middletown-Portsmouth-Warren-Tiverton-Little Compton region
RT 53 = Providence-North Providence-Johnston-Cranston region

REQUIREMENTS
⢠Candidates must be at least 21 years of age
⢠Legal to work in the U.S.
⢠Local to the North Providence, RI area
⢠Must hold a valid Driver's License, clean driving record for the past three years, and verifiable references
⢠Must have no record of any DOIs
⢠Accuracy and attention-to-detail is a must; our couriers are responsible for scheduled deliveries at specific locations
⢠Subject to background check and random drug testing
⢠Customer Service mindset, as our couriers represent the company when making deliveries face-to-face with customers
⢠Delivery / Courier experience in this area is a plus
⢠Have a positive attitude, neat and clean appearance, and be fluent in English
⢠Must able to lift, bend, hoist, and carry
