Do you want to solve challenging technical problems and provide creative solutions to meet mission needs?We are focused on providing our customers expertise in the areas of computer security, information technology, information assurance and computer networking expertise and to create new capabilities. This project provides a unique opportunity to be involved in the Department of Energy cybersecurity community located at Savannah River site. Location: Aiken, SC.Required Qualifications:

Enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Computer Security, Information Technology and Forensics; Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Must have a GPA 3.0 or above (out of 4.0 scale)

0-4 years of Computer Security experience

Proof of US citizenship is required

Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working in a Windows or Linux command line environment

Network Device Configuration Experience with Managed Switches, Routers and Routing protocols; and network peripherals

Working knowledge of Network protocols including http, ftp, ssh, tcp, udp, ip, arp, Ethernet, and 802.11 technologies

Experience updating Linux, Windows operating systems on computer hardware or virtualized platforms

Working knowledge of Computer/Network Security best practices

Experience in scripting for system administration or data processing tasks (Powershell, PERL, python, etc)

Experience analyzing performance issues and implementing efficiency improvements

Ability to analyze complex problems, research and develop solutions that fit within the framework of systems already in place.

Detail oriented mindset applied to completion of documentation of problems and systems.

Experience with any of the following technologies a plus:

Experience with Windows 7/10/Server 2008/2012/2016, and MacOS

Working Knowledge of VMWare, Hyper-V

Experience in object oriented programming languages ( C, C, C# )

Working knowledge of Wireshark, wget, netcat, iperf, metasploit, nmap, and Ida Pro applications

Working knowledge in penetration testing, intrusion detection systems, firewall configurations, access control lists, and iptables

Working Knowledge of centralized patch and vulnerability management tools (Microsoft SCCM, Ivanti, Tenable Security Center)
