Fortune Top 50 Company.FreedomHealth Financial Analyst Senior – Tampa, FLThe FinancialAnalyst Senior performs complex budgeting and accounting functions;
conducts financial, statistical, and analytical studies; prepares and assists
in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and claims for
reimbursement according to prescribed guidelines; and, performs related duties
as required.Primary
duties may include, but are not limited to:
Identifies medical cost trends anddevelops action-oriented reporting.
Designs and maintains monthlyreporting packages for senior management.
Prepares sophisticated financialanalysis of proposed contracting initiatives, including user-friendlyutilization and cost reports.
Identifies cost saving initiatives anddesigns a cross-functional project plan.
Works cross-functionally to develop,refine, and implement the data warehouse reporting strategy designed tomake reporting a strategic advantage.
Requirements:
Requires a BS/BA in accounting,finance, economics, or a related field; at least 2 years budgeting,forecasting and accounting financial reporting experience; or anycombination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalentbackground.
MBA preferred.
Minimum of two years ofexperience in health care data analysis required, preferably within amanaged care environment with risk contracting.
Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills required.
Excellent quantitative and analyticalskills required.
Knowledge of medicalterminology and coding methodologies required.
Expertise and experience withSQL required; proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Access.
Ability to read and interpretdocuments and calculate figures and amounts required.
