Entity/Organization: MUHA (Medical University Hospital Authority/Medical Center)Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: 40Fair Labor Standards Act Status: SalariedJob Summary/Purpose : The Business Manager II directly reports to the designated ICCE Administrator and/or Cost Center Leader and indirectly reports to the Chief Financial Officer for MUSC Health providing support for Adjusted Operating Budget between 21M and $37M. Under limited supervision, the Business Manager II provides credible/reliable, consistent, standardized, and integrated financial support services to MUSC Health. This position is an integral operational partner and collaborates with the Administrator/Leader in the implementation of various enterprise initiatives. The Business Manager II serves as a strategic financial resource for the ICCE Chief and Administrator/Leader. Prepares and compiles all financial strategic plans including preforms, return on investment calculations, and forecasts in conjunction with the finance planning office. Participates in the long range financial planning process. Reviews and monitors all financial activities of the ICCE on a daily, monthly, and annual basis. Directs the development of annual budgets and identification of performance metrics. Guides, supports and reports out on a balanced scorecard for each area of oversight. Supervises the procurement process outside of the functions of the supply chain. Acts as the liaison to various support services. Manages special projects as assigned by the ICCE leadership.Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Accounting or related field with three (3) years of experience in a position of significant financial and operational responsibility in a medical hospital or related institution is required. Knowledge of budgeting, operations, labor management, strategic planning, and satisfaction performance reporting systems and methodologies required. Proven ability to research, gather, synthesize and organize information to produce concise reports using various resources. Understanding of external regulatory requirements and effective compliance assurance methods preferred. Experience with contract negotiation, audit, and compliance is desired. Must be proficient in the use of spreadsheets and have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate complicated policies and procedures and financial information to a wide variety of audiences.
