In this role, the Staff Accountant holds responsibility for preparing monthly and year-end closings, fixed asset maintenance, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. This position spends a fair amount of time producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility during the monthly close. You'll also review schedules for the reporting processes, stay in touch with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and play an active role in compliance.What you get to do every single day

Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules

Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management

Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

Participate in various department-wide initiatives

Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner

Maintain intricate journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

Play a role in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

Perform month end close, journal entries with minimum supervision

Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed

Requirements - Spreadsheet and database capabilities

Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

Ability to meet deadlines

General familiarity with Month-end Financial

Monthly Financial Reports experience highly desired

Proven knowledge of Monthly Financial Reporting

Produce Reports experience desired

Financial Statement experience preferred

Deep understanding of financial statement preparation

Practical knowledge of QuickBooks

Well-founded grasp of Monthly Financial Close

Foundational knowledge in Monthly Financial Statements

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

ERP system experience

Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

Recent and relevant accounting experience

Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
