Shift: 4 - 10 hour days and 3 days off; shift that rotates monthly Position Type : Salaried W2 with benefits and PTO Relocation: Yes: Relocation Bonus Job Overview: The Tier III Support Engineer is part of a 24x7x365 team that supports a global implementation of a large suite of systems. As a member of this team the position responds, tracks, troubleshoots, and documents actions on tickets escalated to the Tier III level for these systems. The systems operate in a virtualized environment. Technologies in the architecture include VMware vSphere; Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, F5, Microsoft MDOP and Hyper-V, and other virtualization solutions. The successful candidate will have solid understanding, appropriate certification, and hands-on experience with virtualization technologies in an enterprise-level Windows environment. Work schedule is on a rotating shift basis balanced across the entire Tier III Support Team. Roles and Responsibilities:
Administer and troubleshoot Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft virtualization solutions
Provide installation support by assisting with upgrades, installing service packs and hotfixes, and resolving service requests
Provide phone and remote support to various customers running various virtualization technologies
Support and maintain customer-facing virtualized hosting environment
Perform installation and configuration of virtualized components under the guidance and supervision of a technical lead
Assist on internal and external virtualization operations enhancement, sustainment and support projects
Participate in customer-facing projects as part of a delivery team
Be willing and able to work in 4x10 monthly rotation schedule shifts (day/evening/night)
Required Qualifications: For this job there are two options:
Option: A - If you have a BS Degree you will only need 4 years of experience with all mandatory requirements: Set A. Virtualization Subject Matter Expert Four (4) years working with virtualization technologies, including COTS products available from Citrix, VMware and Microsoft. Four (4) years of hands-on experience supporting DoD programs. Hands-on experience in two (2) of the following four (4) areas: Systems Requirements supporting applications development Operational Requirements supporting production operations Test & Evaluation of new technologies and versions thereof Training subordinates, peers or end-users Some Technical training in Citrix, VMWare and Microsoft virtualization products Certified in any of the virtualization COTS products including but not limited to: Citrix CCA, CCEA, CCIA, or CCEE, Microsoft MCTS, or VMware VCP
Option B: Virtualization Engineer
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems or Computer Science
One (1) year of experience in Microsoft Server or Linux operating systems, including: Systems/Equipment Support, plus Test and Evaluation support of C4ISR requirements
Have or be working toward one of the following certifications: Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) previously known as Certified Software Engineering Professional (CSEP) or A vendor/platform specific certification such as one of the following: CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA), Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), Sun Certified Professional (SCP), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Other (with advanced approval)

Active DOD Secret clearance
