Cancer Screening

This predisposition test sequences up to 15 cancer types, 8 syndromes, 11 diseases, and 105 genes - all associated with susceptibility to inherited cancers. It is all about utilizing the latest technology for early detection and prevention.

The results are analyzed by a Certified Genetic Counselor who works directly with the patient to interpret the findings and prepare a personalized prevention program. This program provides solutions for healthy lifestyle management, preventative treatment, medications, and/or surgical procedures as needed.

A patient is deemed medically necessary if the following criteria are met:

-The individual has not been diagnosed with cancer, but certain type/s of cancer has been diagnosed in their family

-The individual has been diagnosed with certain types of cancer in their lifetime

If the individual does not meet these qualifications they cannot participate, as it will be a violation of Medicare rules and regulations

Pharmacogenetics Test

This test removes the trial and errorĀ approach that is most common in the prescription drug industry. It significantly decreases the incidence of Adverse Drug Reactions (harmful side effects resulting from the use of one or more prescription drugs - the 4th leading cause of death in the United States), while also improving treatment efficacy.

The small saliva sample can help determine:

-Whether a patient could have serious side effects from a medication

-What the best dose of a medication is for your patient

-Whether a medication may be an effective treatment for your patient

Carrier Screening

When this screen is administered before or during pregnancy, it allows the patients to determine whether they carry a gene for certain genetic disorders.
