Help wanted for immediate hire at a well-established small sock manufacturing company on James Island. Position is part time with potential for full time hours during our fall/winter busy season.
Position:
Production Assistant
Requirements:
Mechanical background
Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Work with hand tools
Work in a fast paced environment
Stand for extended periods of time
Electrical experience is a plus but not required
Duties include:
Running sock machines
Assisting production manager with daily tasks
Finishing projects within designated deadlines
Assembling parts on sock machines
Independently managing production projects and providing status reports to manager
Quality checking products
Ideal candidates must be self-motivated, and be able to multi-task very efficiently. They must be reliable, mechanically/electrically inclined, able to work with hand tools, and can work standing for long periods of time when needed. They must have a positive personality and willing to meet delivery deadlines. Very rarely, candidate may be asked to come in early or stay later for these deadlines to be met. We will provide training to the right candidate expressing a positive attitude and good work ethic. Furthermore, this position will provide professional experience for those looking to expand their credentials. Pay rate is depending on experience.
This position is perfect for recent graduates with an interest in engineering and/or manufacturing as well as for entry-level, young professionals looking to get some real hands-on experience in the engineering & development sector.
Must have valid SC driver's license
Must have own reliable transportation.
Must pass background check
Must have 3 positive references
