This position will be responsible for coordinating all maintenance planning and scheduling activities, to include developing and completing work packages, work plans on selected plant equipment, preparing preventive maintenance work orders and maintaining records of activities for McMeekin Station and the NPUs (Fairfield Pumped Storage, Saluda Hydro, Coit GTs, Parr GTs, Parr Hydro, and Neal Shoals Hydro).

Additional responsibilities include maintaining the work management system (Maximo) and the labor scheduling system (PASTA).

Maintaining historical databases to reflect corrective, predictive and preventive maintenance performed on equipment and systems, and coordinating with internal and external suppliers.

This position will also coordinate all outage scaffolding, high energy piping inspections, and flow accelerated corrosion inspections.

The successful candidate will be expected to become qualified as a certified scaffold inspector.

This position will communicate with all levels of the organization to include working effectively with the craft organization and management teams.

This position will provide leadership for improving the planning, scheduling and work execution functions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The successful candidate must be an independent worker (self-starter).

Knowledgeable of maintenance disciplines and operational processes.

Understands value of work planning and structure to productivity, open to new ideas of work management and process improvement.

Good oral, written communication and human relations skills; strong computer skills with good understanding of current work management system (Maximo) and labor scheduling system (PASTA).

Overtime, call-out work and occasional travel will be required in this position.

This position will ensure safe work practices, procedures, and environmental criteria and guidelines are planned into all station tasks and work plans.

Additionally, this person will elevate issues & areas where there are process gaps in a positive manner.

Power Plant Experience and/or corrective/predictive maintenance background is a plus.
