Senior Matters is a local company that has been providing Independence Support Services and life assistance for South Carolina seniors since 1997. As our company continues to grow, we are hiring full-time and part-time Caregiver staff for day and night shifts. All of our clients are private pay and typically longer term assignments.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, assisting client with basic activities for daily living, light housekeeping, companionship, meal preparation, transportation to appointments and errands.
Having prior experiences with seniors is helpful, but the most important qualifications are a desire to care for others, compassion, a positive attitude, a kind heart, and willingness to learn. The team of caregivers at Senior Matters is a diverse group and we hire individuals with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. We value our team and provide training, client medication support from an RN, and support from management and ownership.
The job requires clean background check, toxicology test, a drivers license and reliable transportation.
Our office is located in Forest Acres and our clients are in all areas of Columbia and vicinity.
