A growing manufacturing plant is looking for an experienced Production Team Lead to oversee their manufacturing operations. The Production Team Lead will help guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows.

The Production Team Lead ensures consistent quality and efficient operations of the department they oversee. The right candidate should be able to work in a fastpaced environment and help optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing costs.

Location: Sumter, SC

Pay: $16-$20/hour (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

Provide direct support and training to staff involved in the operation of equipment to Company specifications. Operate machinery, as needed.

Oversee scheduling and assignment of duties to Machine Operators for daily activities.

Ensure accurate reporting of monthly production, dynamic forecasting, and related commentary to leadership.

Maintain quality and efficient manufacturing operations.

Collaborate and interact constantly with other leads, supervisors and other departments.

Ensure that all work meets Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety, sanitation, and other Company guidelines.

Ensure prompt reaction to schedule and/or specification changes.

Verify Mogul Machine Operators training and performance, and address deficiencies in coordination with management.

Collaborate with a team including Utility Workers, Machine Operators, Production Supervisors, and Manager.

Interact with computer software to read production schedules, enter downtime, scrap, document units produced, etc.

Ensure adherence to housekeeping and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.

5 years experience in food/candy manufacturing machine operations.

Proven leadership, teamwork and communication skills.

Knowledge of mathematics performing calculations and conversions.

Understanding of all related GMP requirements.

Intermediate material handling knowledge.

Intermediate computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
