We are a well-established and family owned Buy Here Pay Here dealership in the Greenville area.

We are currently looking for someone with previous experience in the auto industry as a title clerk/manager with some accounting background. This position has the potential to take on an office management role. We currently have 2 Buy Here Pay Here dealerships and a finance company. Ideally, once completely trained, this position would take on managing the office duties/clerical personnel for all current entities and any future entities. Candidate must be extremely reliable and trustworthy with a clean background and driving record. We can discuss specific traffic tickets for acceptance depending on our insurance underwriters decision. A large volume of our clients are Spanish speaking. We would prefer someone who is bi-lingual but we are not requiring that.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Processes all used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.

Prepares tax and title document for motor vehicle sales.

Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lien holder paid off before processing title applications.

Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.

Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.

Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.

Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the manager at the end of month.

Cross-trains others to handle title clerk daily responsibilities.

Maintains a neat work area.

Examine vehicle title for accuracy and conformity to specified requirements

Verify acceptance of the title in the state for which it is filed

Confirm accurate VIN number, odometer reading and releases of liens and that titles contain no alterations

Resolve titling issues through interaction with customers, dealers, auctions, and regulatory agencies

Maintain knowledge of current DMV regulations as they relate to vehicle titles and interpret titling regulations in each state for which the vehicles are processed

Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures

Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables and accounts payable data

Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits

Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted

Perform other duties as assigned by management

SKILLS:

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software

Proficiency in English and in MS Office

Customer service orientation and negotiation skills

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Experience within an Automotive dealership office (preferably with a BUY HERE PAY HERE).

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

Valid drivers license and a good driving record

Good Judgment

Bilingual would be preferred but not required.

All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license

Experience using Frazer or similar auto dealership software

Experience using DDI or similar EVR programs

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while maintaining deadlines

COMPENSATION:

The starting pay for this position would be $13-$15 HOURLY however after a trial period we will consider a weekly salary pay. The increased earning potential will be based on the abilities of the employee once fully trained and depending upon how much of the management duties the employee is able to perform and take on.
