Description: Performs operational checks, troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems in a quality manner and ensure the integrity and correct operation of affected avionics/ electrical systems affected during modification and maintenance of aircraft. Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned as required)Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical manuals, wiring diagrams understanding symbols flags and general notes.Performs operational checks and troubleshoots essential navigation and communication systems such as RADAR, TACAN, ADF, UHF, VHF, HF, VOR/ILS and systems such as aircraft fuel, aircraft hydraulic, aircraft lighting, aircraft landing gear, aircraft ordnance, engine fuel, engine oil, engine propeller and the entire electrical power distribution.Works with several types of measuring devices and test equipment required for operational/functional checks and troubleshooting of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.Installs electrical harnesses and performs operational checks, troubleshoots and repairs electrical and avionics systems on aircraft. Assist in hangar and flight line maintenance as required.Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic Qualifications:Employee must have at least 8 years of applicable Flight line experience and ability to accomplish standard tasks with limited supervision.FCC License RequiredEmployee must be able to Troubleshoot multiple systems such as but not limited to RADAR, TACAN, ADF, UHF, VHF, HF, VOR/ILSEmployee Must be able to interpret installation drawings, install and route electrical cable assemblies, perform multiple termination processes and perform continuity checks in accordance with standard processes.Employee must also provide personal tools and a shadowed toolbox as required by the Company.Employee must be able to work any shift and/or weekend as directed by operational requirements.Employee must be able to pass physicals as required by company.
