Use tools to accomplish jobs, read and interpret blueprints.
Routinely check dimensions of parts using gages, micrometers, and other inspection tools to verify print conformance.
Complete basic machine adjustments, adjust guides, dress wheels. Adjust coolant levels and concentrations.
Perform routine machine maintenance.
Identify parts and/or material to be worked on.
Suggest production improvements for the organization and for our customers.
Identify and report machine problems to supervisor and QC department.
Communicate well and promptly with all departments, including Shipping, Quality, and Administration.
Additional/Preferred Responsibilities:
Ability to perform set ups.
Assist coworkers with adjustments, tool changes, etc. as needed.
Use support equipment: i.e. surface grinders, engine lathes, drill grinder.
