Hello,
I have a hobby where I buy stuff at auction. I enjoy the thrill of finding cool stuff and the adventure of the unknown. It gives me something to do with my time. I keep a lot of it, upgrade my furniture, etc. with better stuff I find. I give some away to friends and family, etc. I do however, end up with a LOT of stuff I don't want but has value. I'm a disabled Veteran and don't have the time, energy, physical or mental capability to sit at the computer/phone/etc. for hours on end taking pictures and listing items to sell or interacting with the public.
SO, I'm looking for someone to sell all the extra stuff for me. You would NOT be an employee, I do NOT have a business. You would be a broker/contractor/freelancer selling my property at my house/online for me. I take security seriously. I will NOT share your information or anything about you with anyone. The home is set up with full surveillance cameras which I monitor or anyone can monitor from the office (room in house). I also open carry on my property and am extremely vigilant about not allowing uninvited persons on the property. I am typically here 95% of the day. You can make your own hours, days, schedule, etc. within reason (8am to 6pm). I imagine it would be similar timing to a full-time job, but again it depends on you and your ability to sell and efficiency. I will set up a computer terminal with full online access for your use and a desk in the office. I will purchase a comfortable chair WITH your help in selection, for you to use. I will provide printing, labeling (for shipments), power, comfortable area to conduct sales, etc. You will request your compensation for selling my property, as an independent broker/contractor/freelancer. You are free to use ebay, offerup, craigslist, facebook market place or any other platform or method of your choosing. You may use my accounts and name for all sales to keep your information private. You will also come up with prices on your own, however I can make suggestions if you like. Other property may require special knowledge for pricing and sales such as collectibles, antiques, vintage items, sports memorabilia, coins, jewelry, etc. which you can RESEARCH at the computer terminal. Items sold online must be packaged and taken to the post office the same day. I will take the packages to the post office, or you can if you like. I can suggest ways to price these accordingly but in the end the pricing and sales will be up to you. This will take quite a while and will be an ongoing occurrence as I continue to purchase stuff at auction (my hobby). I may occasionally need help with picking up purchases, moving, sorting and storing items in my 4 car garage, breezeway and shop, to better and more quickly facilitate your sales of these items if you like, OR you can wait until they are ready to be sold.
I am NOT looking for a professional, person with a degree, company, anyone associated with a larger group/entity, etc. I am looking for an INDIVIDUAL person interested in selling all kinds of things that I find through my auction purchases. I am even willing to show you how to accomplish all this if you know nothing about selling. A younger efficient person with little to no responsibilities would be a good fit in my opinion. Someone just out of high school or even still living with parents that needs/wants something to do with their time is perfectly fine. A person with the full range of life's wonderful responsibilities would likely not be a good fit due to the time it would likely require and said responsibilities interfering with the desired goal. However, ANYONE can offer. IF you have a criminal record, ever been convicted of ANY crime or are generally a dishonest and/or unpleasant human to be around I am NOT interested in your services. References and/or a background check may be requested/conducted by me.
