Mosteller Interiors is a custom architectural woodwork manufacturer located in Ridgeland/Okatie SC, is seeking a versatile and highly motivated person to receive and inventory materials, organize, straighten and sweep the warehouse and shop, and to assist other craftsmen as needed. This position could develop into an apprenticeship and career opportunity in custom woodworking for the right applicant. If you are interested in learning woodworking, general knowledge of woodworking machinery and the right attitude. Additional training will be provided to the successful applicant. Forklift experience and training a plus.
Cabinet Builder/Apprentice
Knowledge
⢠Woodworking experience, 6 months of trim carpentry or manufacturing and assembling experience is preferred.
⢠Working knowledge of basic math.
Skills and abilities
⢠Ability to work in a safe manner
⢠Ability to recognize size/grade/quality of material
⢠Demonstrates the ability to follow specific instructions and directions
⢠Demonstrate ability to use and operate hand tools (drills, staple guns & nail guns)
⢠Demonstrate the ability to stack material properly
⢠Ability to pay attention to surroundings
⢠Ability to identify safety issues in their work area, and notice equipment malfunctions
⢠Ability to understand basic verbal and written instructions in English.
⢠Ability to read a tape measure
⢠Ability to troubleshoot nail gun machines and other similar handheld equipment.
⢠Demonstrate eye-hand coordination
⢠Ability to work under immediate supervision
⢠Ability to work hours mandated by management
