NexGen Data Systems is looking for an ITSM Technician to support one of our government customers. Candidates shall be experienced with the following; provide planning, analysis, troubleshooting, integration, installation, operations, maintenance, training, documentation, and administration services for information systems. Candidates will also maintain a centralized technical assistance service that supports problem resolution and distributes general information concerning office automation. Ideal candidates will be experience in configuration, integration, distribution and troubleshooting support for various types of PC-based systems inside of a government facility.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating and tracking job requests using existing Government applications to ensure that all customer requests are handled expeditiously while keeping Government apprised of significant changes in workload status
  • Workstation configuration and integration tasks required to connect workstations to the local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), wireless local area network (WLAN) environment and ensure that these workstations can access LAN resources
  • Coordinate with personnel to address interoperability and connectivity issues for the enterprise network, which may include recommendations on re-configuration and relocation of LAN/WAN/WLAN equipment in order to meet operational requirements
  • Analyzing and assessing equipment and performance degradation, including determination of hardware, software, and/or other technical changes necessary as well as supply refreshment to meet operational requirements
  • Candidate shall provide programming, database development/maintenance and web support all phases and stages of software life cycle management
  • Assist in the development of needs statement, conducting a feasibility study, risk analysis, cost benefit analysis, and decision paper to justify the need for procuring software from another agency
  • Ensure all files and tables in CHCS are consistent with Health Affairs, Air Force Medical Readiness Agency (AFMRA), and military treatment facility (MTF) directives
  • Provide Ad Hoc assistance in designing reports for use in understanding how to effectively and efficiently provide health services so that informed choices can be made
  • Manage SQL Server databases
  • Build/maintain all user accounts ensuring proper allocation of privileges and security keys

Desired/Required Skills:
  • 5+ years experience with Medical Health applications and systems, specifically AHLTA and CHCS
  • Security+ desired or IAT Level-II
  • Experience providing second-tier support to end users for either PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware, and interacting with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem
  • Top Secret clearance or higher preferred
  • 8570 compliance (Active Security and OS certifications)
  • Ability to simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Reliable with exceptional work ethic
