Network Security Engineer to provide day-to-day, onsite implementation, administration and troubleshooting for the US Navy's Computer Network Defense (CND) system network infrastructure team located in Charleston, SC.
Administration and troubleshooting of Juniper, Forcepoint, Fortinet, and Cisco products to include firewalls, routers, and switches.
Test and evaluation of new commercial and/or government developed network-based investigative tools.
Deploy Cyber Security mandated system upgrades, patches, and perform modifications to ensure systems are protected against known exploits.
Tracks trends and performs network analysis on the Navy infrastructure to determine security gaps and network configuration deficiencies.
Travel: Anticipated travel is 25% or less of time. Candidate must have or be able to obtain a US Passport.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years or more experience; or 9 years or more of related experience with HS/GED.
Required clearance:
Must currently hold a Secret Clearance and have eligibility for a Top Secret Clearance. (Clearance must be listed in JPAS)
Qualifications:
Experience with Juniper, CISCO, and firewall appliances.
In depth knowledge of:
TCP/IP
Firewall policies and operations
Virtual routers and Policy based routing
Load balancing
Packet capture analysis
Solid understanding of Windows Server environments and Windows networking stack.
Anticipated travel is 25% or less of time. Candidate must have or be able to obtain a US Passport.
Required Certifications:
Current IAT Level II certification from DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with Linux, WireShark, and tcpdump.
Experience with Breach Detection System (BDS), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Inline Content Scanner/Web Content Filter UTM and Central Manager.
