Job DescriptionJob Summary:The role of the Outbound Logistics Analyst is located within the Outbound Logistics organization. The purpose of this role is to support the Outbound Transportation function in daily operational activities from a cost and lead-time perspective. This function is critical in managing outbound expenses and in assuring that an efficient transport is setup and implemented in a timely manner.Primary Responsibilities:
Logistics studies - cost benefit analysis, distribution network optimization, route rationalization
KPI creation and database maintenance
Carrier performance analysis - identify trends and gaps
Process documentation - job aids, desk procedures, flow charts, etc.
Vendor payment and invoice management
Purchase Order tracking
Back-up for other positions within department
RequirementsRequirements:
Strong analytical skill set
o Ability to identify and understand trends and gapso Ability to create Pareto chartso Root cause analysiso Process mappingo Data Miningo Comparison Analysis/Identify discrepancies
Expert user in Microsoft Access, Power BI and/or Tableau - ability to create queries, tables and forms
Expert user in Microsoft Excel - ability to create pivot table and sophisticated charts, i.e. multiple axis and data series
Experience and understanding of systems- interactions - ability to draw a flow
Positive attitude and good sense of humor!
