The Engineer - Water is responsible for developing designs through various project stages, undertakes coordination and carries out design documentation while working as part of the project team. Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment as an experienced engineer. Guides Graduate Engineers, provides design input to the CAD/BIM technicians, and works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and tests. Here is what you will do:Contributes to the development of technical proposals.Develops design by gathering, correlating and analyzing engineering data using computer software and established procedures and standards. When possible, collects and analyses information from discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models.Fully develops the design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure the production of high-quality outputs by following project timelines.Participates in the interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables, including BIM spatial reviews (virtual walkthroughs and clash detection).Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations, specifications, sketches, diagrams, specific discipline BIM models, drawings, reports and tender documents.Identifies discrepancies in results and proposes an approach to solving new problems encountered.Performs work under the agreed-upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.Coordinates with other discipline Engineers as applicable for the design process's continuity.Maintains and develops the highest level of technical skills and abilities, ensuring the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams for accuracy to design instructions.Coordinates with authorities for scheme approvals. Here’s what we’re looking for:Particular experience required in the water and sanitation field.Hydraulic modeling work experience in bulk water and sanitation schemes (pumpstations, pipelines, reservoirs) and potable water and wastewater network design are required and some exposure the water and wastewater treatment would be advantageous.Capability in the following software is required:Civil 3DRevitMS Office full suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)Capability in the following software is advantageous:Water and Sewer GemsInfoWorksEpaNetPlant 3DInventorMS ProjectsBentley Water and Wastewater design software
