Work Shift: 1ST SHIFT (United States of America)SUMMARY: This position is responsible for brand positioning, developing sustainable points of difference vs. the competition; packaging design; development of compelling sales materials, project management with the ability to lead multiple high profile cross-functional initiatives simultaneously; intimate understanding of production & R&D related to his/her categories including a strong rapport with the production facilities and involvement in process improvement projects; coordinating product revisions and new introductions; leadership of new product development projects resulting in substantial improvement in category volume and EBIT; key account presentation building and cooperative selling with the sales force; promotion development and execution down to the account level. This position would facilitate marketing efforts with regard to products that are branded and consumer ready. Examples would be the Star Ranch Angus® brand, Reuben® brand, and various customer private label value added brands. In addition, the position could include duties related to other branded pork or beef programs such as online marketing asset management, inventory management of sales support pieces, customer directed product database management, and direction of an online sales training platform. This position would function across both pork and beef, but with an emphasis on beef and beef business development. This position would also need to effectively lead and direct the activities of our marketing agency of record with regard their areas of responsibility. The ability to think strategically about our business and best areas for growth over a one to five year time frame is critical.REQUIREMENTS:Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business or equivalent combination of both.Experience: 3+ years of marketing/product management experience preferably with an established food company; experience in building products and programs for a retail environment; previous P&L management experience preferred; experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, Deli Scan); consumer promotion and advertising exposure.Computer Skills: Microsoft expertise.Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills a must.Travel: 6-10 trips per yearWhen completing a Tyson Foods employment application, be sure to complete all tasks listed on the candidate home page.
