This role acts as a subject matter expert and sets best practice methodologies in market access analytics and leads cross-functional agile teams to provide advanced analytic support to the US Market Access organization including, IAM, Oncology/MBCAT, Vaccine, Chronic Care, Hospital Specialty. The Associate Director of Contract Optimization leverages a deep understanding of market access analytics combined with superior business acumen and knowledge of the ever-changing health care payer environment to proactively shape discount/rebate investment strategy.The Associate Director of Contract Optimization is accountable for developing & maintaining a set of advanced analytic tools to inform deal vs no deal contract decisions, payer control segmentation, optimization of discount/rebate investments at a brand & portfolio-levels, methods for estimating the impact of out-of-pocket-costs and plan design on RX utilization and methods for quantifying managed care pull-through opportunities. The Associate Director of Contract Optimization will act as a subject matter expert in working with HHIAD functional areas such as Data Science, Data Visualization and the Business Analytics Engagement team. The Associate Director role also develops and maintains external relationships with vendor consultants and academic thought leaders to ensure knowledge and application of best practices. This role will focus on keeping Our Company ahead of the industry in applying new tools, techniques, and technologies to drive the organization to make optimal discount/rebate investment choices.This position demands strong knowledge of pharmacy and medical benefit payer landscape as well as applied analytical skills and the ability to direct cross functional agile teams to support contract optimization business decisions. Leadership skills are necessary to advocate improved investment strategies to executive management based on data-driven research. This role will have extensive knowledge analyzing claims and syndicated data (eg IQVIA LAAD, RWE, Xponent PlanTrak) and 3rd party formulary data (eg MMIT/DRG) as well as working knowledge using tools preferably python, R, SAS, Spotfire, PowerBI. Effective written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business stakeholders.Education:Advanced degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics

Knowledge and skills:2-3 years delivering Market Access analytics projects.

Expert knowledge of patient level claims data and formulary data assets to enable market access insight generation.

Strong programming skills (Python, R, SQL) and BI skills (PowerBI, Spotfire).

Medical Benefit market access analytic experience is a plus.
