Director Software Engineering, Payer CloudThe Director, Engineering will lead an organization of our next generation cloud based solutions for the payer market. In your role you will work closely with the business teams, build and transform payer products on the Change Healthcare Platform. You will be responsible for driving next generation of products engineering as well as re-platforming current generation solutions. You will leverage and contribute to Change Healthcare Platform, aligning to the vision of the company. You will be a thought leader in strategy and execution. This will be done through innovation and collaboration with engineering teams and related business functions. This is a critical, highly visible, and strategic leadership role within the company that has the potential to drive significant business impact.The scope of this role will include management and technical leadership in the development and delivery of products in collaboration with execution and strategic partners.Responsibilities:Develop, operate, and drive scalable, resilient, and cloud native services, APIs as well as legacy systems to address the business requirements
Help drive technology and business transformation through the re-platforming of heritage products to leverage of Change Healthcare Platform that will help us establish a leadership position in the industry
Build and deliver required next generation cloud service that enable API driven solutions.
Enable business to build products in low time to market and low total cost of ownership
Build, recruit and lead a high performing team of Engineering Leaders and Engineers
Be a thought leader and partner in the development and execution of the Enterprise Technology Strategy
Create new opportunities in this space for Change with new feature capabilities and new offerings that drive customer and business value
Partner with Product Management and Business leaders to drive Agile delivery of both existing and new offerings
Assist with the Leadership and Collaboration with Engineering Organizations within Change to manage and optimize portfolio
Qualifications:Proven track record of leading strong technical teams and building enterprise class software products. 8 plus years of experience in managing engineering teams.
Experience working with High Performance Distributed Computing Systems in public and private cloud environments. Understands how to work in Hybrid Cloud Environments.
Understands big data open-source eco-systems and its players and demonstrated ability to make critical selections.
Be able to direct architecture and stitch together a product using open-source software and enabling platforms.
Have successful track record of creating successful, high performing commercial software products aligned with business needs, and delivered timely products
Understands how to drive and manage scale of Operating Environment
Experience with Big Data/Micro Service based Systems and Architectures
Front End application development and microservices development experience required. Full-stack Experience (End to End Development) preferred. Hands on experience developing Systems in Java/Scala, AWS/Azure, Databases. Experience with modern DevOps practices.
Proven track record of building and delivering enterprise class products with high quality
Crisp and effective executive communication skills, including significant experience presenting cross-functionally and across all levels
BSCS, BSEE or equivalent. MSCS/MBA preferred
Healthcare experience especially in the Payer industry is highly preferred.
