Job Summary:ICF is seeking a scientific writer with at least 8 years of scientific writing experience and demonstrated experience with, and understanding of, artificial intelligence (AI) applications in the field of biomedical sciences to support the Veteran’s Health Administration (VHA) Office of Research & Development (ORD). This remote position will apply the candidates subject matter expertise in both the health sciences and AI/technology to produce written products such as white papers, policy language, manuscripts, reports, and other written artifacts prepared for dissemination.Key Responsibilities:Prepare white papers and publications for scientific journals
Work closely with National Artificial Intelligence Institute researchers and other staff to prepare white-papers and scientific publications on Artificial Intelligence.
Interview scientists to collect and analyze information needed to inform development and publication of scientific and technical (IT) white papers.
Basic Qualifications:8+ years of professional scientific technical writing experience
MS, or higher, in biomedical sciences, Computer Science, or comparable program of study
Demonstrated experience writing on the application of AI within the biomedical research and health science fields
Ability to translate very detailed scientific and AI content in both technical terms and plain language
Outlook, Excel, Latex, and other software to prepare publication as needed
Preferred Qualifications:Experience preparing manuscripts for publication
Prior VA / VHA experience and credentials

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final salary for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The salary range for Colorado is - $66,658.00-$113,319.00Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
