We have an unexpected opening for a full time Marina Assistant to help with fast-paced rental operations at Sheridan Lake. This position starts immediately and will run through early September.
You must feel comfortable dealing with the public and providing excellent customer service in a retail setting. The most important skills to have are a pleasant, outgoing personality and the ability to serve multiple customers simultaneously. Boating skills are a plus but we can teach you what you need to know around the waterfront.
Main job duties include staffing the marina convenience store, stocking shelves, running the checkout counter, handling rental reservations and fishing license sales. Waterfront duties include performing boat check-out procedures with the customer, return check-in inspections and boat cleaning & preparation for the next rental. Must be physically able to lift canoes, kayaks and paddle boards for launch. Occasional light housekeeping assistance for rental cabins is also required.
You must present a neat & clean appearance and have reliable transportation to & from work. Must be available to work weekends and various shifts (typically 7:30am to 2:00pm, or 1:00pm to 7:30pm). Overtime is typically not required.
