We are a well established and highly regarded carpentry contractor servicing builders and remodeling contractors across the 13 county Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota metro area for almost 40 years.
We are looking to bring on 2-3 subcontractors who have experience framing with wood. We do not do metal studs currently, but looking to possibly get into that market.
If you are more interested in working as an employee here in the twin city area, we are hiring for those positions as well. The pay is $20-$38, DOQ and has full benefits.
We build about 50 custom homes a year. No two are the same. We do not do track housing. We stick-build custom homes and smaller commercial buildings. We do banks, restaurants, gas stations, assisted living, daycare centers, etc.
We also build decks and install windows, so we are always looking for contractors that are capable of doing that type of work also.
Framing new construction is 35% of our business. The rest is high-end remodeling. We do everything from new kitchens to new windows, to a complete remodel of office buildings or restaurants to a complete overhaul of a home's interior or exterior trim.
We offer year-round work. You will have to be registered with the State of Minnesota, and have liability and WC insurance. You will also be asked to provide references.
If you live too far away and not able to drive to the twin cities on a daily basis, do what other subs and carpenters do. Find a cheap room to rent or hotel and stay during the couple of weeks it takes to frame the project and go home for a week.
