Come and discover the opportunity to join our newly established BlueScope Distribution site and join our brand-new team as an Operations Leader. This Greenfields site will be the BlueScope Distribution Product, Processing, & Services Hub (The Hub). It will play a fundamental role in developing specialised products for our customers and will lift our distribution capability to support strategic national projects in the renewables, infrastructure, agriculture, transport, & defence sectors.

In this exciting role, working in our inaugural BlueScope Distribution Business based in Unanderra, you will lead, motivate, and develop a high performing team to ensure our products and services are of the highest quality to meet our customers’ needs now and in the future.

We have two full-time positions working Monday-Friday, one day shift and one afternoon shift. Previous operationsor manufacturingexperience is not required, we will provide you with full training and development.

Supporting the Operations Manager, you will work with the warehousing team to establish a culture that is focused on inclusiveness, quality, service and continuous improvement. You will:

• continually upskill, coach and train your team to become highly skilled team members and nurture a culture that will deliver world class products of the highest quality
• optimise the use of our processing equipment to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations
• plan, co-ordinate and control the movement of product for the site, providing support and customer service excellence to internal and external customers
• lead and monitor the site warehouse inventory - from the receipt of the product until it leaves the warehouse, ensuring accuracy at all times
• work collaboratively with the alternate shift team to drive improvement of all operational processes
• successfully contribute to a safe working environment

Previous operationsor manufacturingexperience is not required, we will provide you with full training to understand our processes and how our equipment works.
