Works with individual donors to solicit and manage contributions ensuring consistent and appropriate contact to for effective stewardship.

Coordinates all aspects of related public relations and third-party fundraising events related to scholarships.

Works closely with the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center staff to coordinate activities.

Coordinates MEL’s club education program.

Works with Foundation Admin to maintain donor records in Raiser’s Edge, including gift acknowledgement.

Works with other staff members to demonstrate hospital appreciation and provide positive encouragement to donors.

Works with other staff members and Marketing team to coordinate public relations and media.

Shares responsibility of prospect identification, research and evaluation.

Works with Foundation team to develop a long range plan that fits with CHI Memorial’s core strategies.

Assists with department events as needed.

Explores and participates in networking opportunities to increase the presence of the CHI Memorial Foundation in the community.

Encourages and maintains a standard of warmth, friendliness and prompt attention to all volunteers, donors and others.

Maintains general knowledge of all hospital activities and programs.

Continually seeks avenues to enhance professional growth and development.

Maintains strict standard of confidentiality regarding donor and patient information.

Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree requiredMinimum 5 years of nonprofit experiencePreferred:Must possess the ability to plan, organize and direct event activities including volunteer involvement. Must have ability to perform under minimal supervision. Must be able to meet deadlines. Must be an excellent communicator, expected to respond quickly. Must be able to formulate and express ideas and concepts clearly and concisely. Must be highly organized with a passion for handling details, and methodically creating and working through checklists, very detail oriented. Must have solid knowledge of donor database software (Raiser’s Edge preferred), MS Office platform. Must have successful experience in managing multiple projects and developing strategies. Extensive knowledge of fundraising principles & practices. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent negotiating skills. Ability to write, edit and proo written materials for use of donor solicitations, member communications and special events. Must have the ability to work within a matrix system resulting in a transparent environment.
