The Red Barn Child Care Center & Preschool is an early childhood program for children 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our mission is to love, guide, teach, and positively influence the children who spend time in our facility and to provide parents with peace of mind that their child is in excellent care. We are looking to fill current and future positions to complement our current team. Previous experience in a professional group setting is preferred and formal training/courses Early Childhood Education is a plus! Our program maintains a wait list so although child care discounts do apply for full time teaching staff, we do not typically have immediate availability.
Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma Meet annual professional development requirements per state regulations Provide 3 professional references Ability to pass a drug screen and background check Able to lift up to 40 pounds and provide proof of physical Ability to work a full time shift Monday-Friday based on the needs of the center & maintain a positive record of attendance Reliable transportation to the Child Care center Be capable of adhering to smoke free campus & personal cell phone usage policies
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement lesson plans using program guidelines Supervise & Interact with children to support play, exploration and learning Professional Communication Work in a cooperative team environment Must be willing to meet and maintain State & Program Standards Must be willing to grow professionally Delivering nurturing care and continuous active supervision of assigned children. Maintain a clean and organized classroom. Consistently model appropriate behavior and language for children. Maintaining positive and open communication with parents, co-workers and administration Knowing and consistently following universal health care policies. Knowing and following all state licensing rules and regulations. Consistently interacting in a positive developmentally appropriate way with the children. Ability to show professionalism and kindness to children. Perform related duties based on need and as assigned by administration. Attending all necessary trainings/meetings.
