Our client that is a vertically integrated global fresh and frozen seafood company that farms, harvests, processes, sells, and distributes more than 40 million pounds per year with full transparency, sustainability and never uses antibiotics, hormones, or GMOs.

Our business includes fresh, frozen, and refresh Norwegian Salmon, Norwegian Steelhead Trout, Atlantic Cod, Atlantic Haddock, and private label solutions currently servicing leading retail, food service, and meal kit customers across the US and beyond.

Position Summary

Are you an experienced Accountant who enjoys working at a fast-paced, diverse, and rapidly changing environment? Are you proficient in Excel and have good analytical skills? If the answer is yes, then this opportunity is for you! We are looking for a reliable and skilled Staff Accountant to join our Finance team!

Primary Responsibilities

• Support day to day accounting functions and month-end close process.
• Manage all relationships with the tax team including data requests and tax payments for all entities.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for assigned areas and research account discrepancies.
• Perform banking and treasury activities.
• Tax and entity support for the Company founder.
• Provide accounting support to sales, operations, and the management teams.
• Analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements.
• Support financial audits, bank field exams and other data inquiries.
• Follow departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
• Document accounting processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Support ERP optimization projects.
• Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

• BS in Accounting/Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience is required.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the period-end close process.
• Strong Excel skills are required, including fluency with advanced functions.
• Understanding and experience working with US accounting standards and GAAP.
• Experience working with an ERP system required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse, and rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and respect for confidentiality required.
