The Procurement Associate will have the following duties and responsibilities:Support the Indirect procurement process (gathering stakeholder requirements, RFI/RFP, Sourcing, Contracting and requisition/purchase orders.
Support completing all Purchasing Assistant and Contract Administration requests for Navistar Defense and Procurement
Responsible for working with Accounting and suppliers/vendors to resolve specific invoicing issues
Miscellaneous Procurement activities/projects as required
Provides administrative and clerical support specifically related to supply chain and procurement department activities. Maintains files, logs, records of invoices, purchase orders and other related documentation. Maintains information on computer systems. Assists in expediting orders. May assist buyers in contacting vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates. May develop and maintain resources for assigned commodity items. Prepares standard requests for quotation. Assignments may require initiative regarding pricing revisions, order cancellations, discontinued items, acceptable substitutes, delivery date revisions and invoice discrepancies.Basic Requirements:
Associate’s degree and no experience
OR
At least 1 year of purchasing/procurement experience
Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
