Position:
We are actively seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to provide full-time support to our Research and Develop (R&D) team to provide automated and manual testing of our software. If you have a passion for quality, love improving software products, and are excited about the idea of working in a fast-paced startup then we would love to meet you. This position will play a key role in ensuring quality for our core application as we begin to scale.

Required Skills:
  • Development of unit and system integration tests via automated means using .NET Core and Javascript technologies
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Re-factoring code to improve data validation, logging, and performance
  • Re-factoring code into well-defined interfaces to allow for improved automated test coverage
  • Familiarity with integrating automated testing into Continuous Integration (CI) Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines is highly desired
  • Working with HelpDesk/Customer Support personnel to resolve tickets and making simple bug fixes to improve code quality
  • Identify and document software bugs for remediation by the R&D engineering team
  • Perform thorough regression testing in support of new software releases

Activities:
  • Development of automated unit tests and integration tests
  • Refactoring of code to improve data validation and to allow better test coverage
  • Development of test plans to support software releases
  • Logging software bugs

Education/Training, Qualifications, and Certification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience (or a minimum of 7 years’ experience if no Bachelor’s Degree)
  • Experience with common .NET Core unit testing solutions and Javascript end to end testing solutions such as Cypress
  • Experience with Git-based configuration control systems for source code management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Experience working in Agile projects including various Sprint/Scrum related activities is preferred
  • Experience with integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines is preferred
  • Must be a self-starter who works well with technical staff on diverse and blended teams
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be a resident of East Tennessee (or be willing to re-locate) and be willing to work in the office up to 50% of the time
  • Must be a , able to pass a background check, and may be subject to random workplace drug testing
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Must provide proof of COVID vaccination
  • Must be able to demonstrate a prior portfolio of testing work and/or software engineering skill sufficient to demonstrate technical prowess during the interview
