Responsibilities
Provides care that is individualized and meets the physical, emotional, spiritual and psychosocial needs of residents.
Provides care that is based on the comprehensive resident assessment and documented in the resident plan of care.
Obtains and transcribes all written and telephone orders in a timely manner ensuring telephone order forms are complete.
Notifies physician and responsible party of changes in resident status.
Communicates with staff to ensure that the residents total regimen of care is being followed according to the plan of care.
Provides leadership and guidance to CNAs and LPNs; ensures that all policies, procedures, state and federal regulations are practiced.
Completes all new admissions paperwork timely, including nursing assessment.
Prepares and administers medications and treatments as needed.
Ensures staffing levels are sufficient to meet resident needs following established protocol and state regulations.
Requirements
Two (2) years Medical/Surgical, Rehab or Geriatric Nursing.
Current Tennessee Registered Nurse License.
Current CPR Certification.
