We have immediate openings for the following position:
CNC Programmer
The individual will create CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers from 2-D drawings and CAD files, and 3-D solid models including .stp and .igs files.
The individual shall be able to:
⢠Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, routing sheets, sketches, etc. to determine tooling requirements, set-up procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences
⢠Create CNC programs using MasterCAM and Esprit CAM software
⢠Check completed programs by running simulations
⢠Modify existing programs for increased efficiency or part revision changes
⢠Monitor machine operations as required to meet customer specifications
The individual should desire to work in manufacturing and apply emerging technologies to fabricate equipment such as:
⢠Precision tooling for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter,
⢠Flight hardware for the Apache Helicopter and the International Space System,
⢠Ground support equipment for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program,
⢠Target Modules and Instruments for the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS),
⢠Vessels for the High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR), or
⢠Vacuum Manifolds for the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF).
