We are currently looking for a Sales Zone Manager at our Ocala plant. The Sales Zone Manager sells homes manufactured by Cavco Industries to builder/developers, company-owned, exclusive, and/or independently-owned retailers by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities:

Each Sales Zone Manager will be assigned a specific area in which to promote the sale of products to all existing customers; and to prospective retailers, builders and developers, which are assigned.

Each Sales Zone Manager will be required to complete a sales call on the existing retailers and prospects in his or her area at LEAST once during each period of 5 working days “ from the office or the field.

Each Sales Zone Manager will prepare the following forms:

Daily call records “ copies to be provided to your Sales Manager and/or General Manager upon request.

Assigned competitive product analysis quarterly, as assigned by the Sales Manager.

Travel itinerary for territory field trips.

Road trip retailer contact report.

Retailer book in hard copy or electronic format.

Prospective retailer book in hard copy or electronic format.

Each Sales Zone Manager will be required to schedule at least 5 days each month for visits to retailers within the assigned area, any work days not spent traveling will be scheduled at the plant sales office.

Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.

Promotes and explains product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.

Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of divisions production and delivery schedules.

Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.

Works with Sales Coordinators and Sales Consultants to keep account activities and literature up to date.

Investigates and resolves customer problems.

Represents our company at trade shows to promote product.

Demonstrate a good work ethic based on principles of honesty and integrity

Required to inspect every home they sell before it leaves the Building Center.

Qualifications:

Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Effective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management, internal, and external customers

Ability to work in a fast pace environment

Attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines

Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
