What Process Engineering contributes to Cardinal HealthProcess Engineering is responsible for analyzing and assessing supplier and in-house processes to determine process capability. Identify and drive process improvements. Support supplier assessment and selection process. Directs external resources/contractors as required. Responsible for supporting the initiative execution within the Pharmaceutical Segment’s Strategy by providing support to the Cardinal Health Packaging Solution site and stakeholders. Support the driving change of by focusing on customers, employees, and processes resulting in a culture of excellence.
Support Cardinal Health Packaging Solution’s business strategy goals and broad cross-functional improvement opportunities including an end to end processes throughout the segment
Govern and monitor the effectiveness of management routines and metrics; recommend and implement changes as needed to ensure business objectives are met
Collaborates with functional leads in the identification, discussion, and prioritization of local, strategic improvement strategies
Leads Continuous Improvement and accountability across area of responsibility for optimal results
Ensures individual alignment with site performance metrics and savings goals
Accountabilities:
Support the Cardinal Health Packaging Solution’s initiatives. These initiatives include, but not limited to improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Applies Lean Manufacturing and/or Manufacturing knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects
Implement Manufacturing process blueprints; Evaluate plants against the blueprint execution
May works on complex projects of scope within multiple facilities
Possesses Black Belt / Green Belt certification and pursues/obtains Black Belt certification, preferred
Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives
Experience with managing and driving operational excellence within the concepts of the perfect manufacturing plants
Completes most work independently; receives general guidance on new projects
May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
4+ years’ experience in related field, preferred
Possesses Black Belt certification and pursues/obtains Black Belt certification, preferred
Prior supervisory experience, preferred
Experience working in or supporting a complex manufacturing facility(s)
Experience in Technical Writing
Experience with managing and driving lean manufacturing within the concepts of the perfect manufacturing plants
