ProTech Systems Group is seeking a Systems Security Administrator for a permanent opportunity in Memphis, TN.

• The Information Technology (IT) Systems Security Administrator is a high-level technical expert in the security domain and works with IT leadership, Technical, Helpdesk, Operational and Applications support staff to set up and monitor security standards, best practices and all the systems necessary to ensure the protection and confidentiality of informational assets.
• The Systems Security Administrator must demonstrate technical knowledge of technologies, processes and practices designed to protect servers, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access.
• This position must be proactive in developing and managing security policies and practices for systems across the enterprise by performing the following duties: incident analysis, vulnerability management and system patching.
• This also includes assisting in the development of policies and implementation of appropriate security processes and procedures for all critical data systems, including but not limited to the production environment, disaster recovery environment and eDiscovery procedures.

• Performs patching, vulnerability and risk assessments on AIX, Linux, Mobile Devices, Windows Servers and Computers, VMWare.
• Configures and supports security tools such as end point protection, patch management, Encryption, DLP, SIEMs, etc.
• Implements server security policies, application security, access control and corporate data safeguards.
• Develops and implements security standards and policies to meet company operational goals as well as regulatory requirements.
• Maintains related security support documentation, including industry best practice standards, configuration documentation, schematics, implementation plans and instructional material.
• Responds appropriately to security incidents, breaches and potential threats to eliminate or reduce these risks and reports to leadership.
• Provides technical advice on access control, security models, disaster recovery, business continuity planning.
• Participates in new system implementations and upgrades as required to provide security advice, incorporate security standards and disaster recovery planning.
• Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications.
• Functions as premier level support for technical issues.
• Trains other team members in security awareness and procedures.
• Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.

• Reliable and regular attendance is expected.

• A two-year degree and two years of experience is required.
• A combination of four years of experience and certifications with data systems and security technologies
  will be considered.
• Security Certifications (
  PREFERRED)

• Apps: Symantec suit, SCCM, Active Directory, Group policies, Office 365, Azure,

• Environments: Microsoft OS, AIX, DB (Oracle, SQL), Linux, Citrix, VMWare, Mobile Device Management

• MISC: SIEMs, Data Loss Prevention, Data Encryption, Data retention, backups, disaster recovery

• Working knowledge of basic system administration standards including backup and recovery, security administration, performance analysis and tuning, capacity planning, hardware and O/S maintenance.
• Knowledge of technical trends and developments in technology relating to security and risk management.
• Ability to conduct risk management assessments, provide assistance in identification, prioritization and remediation of information systems vulnerabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex problems under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
• Organizational skills.
