Central Heating & Cooling, Inc., an established HVAC company which has been in business since 1970, has an opening for a Service Manager to manage the continued growth of our service department.
Hours: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, some weeknights and weekends
Primary Job Function: To manage the service operations of the company. This includes overseeing the daily dispatching and efficiencies of the service technicians and department. Other duties include, but limited to: customer relations, reviewing all billing and warranty claims, interaction with the other managers in respect to their warranty and installation needs. The Service Manager is expected to handle all aspects of the service department and to ensure its continued profitability and growth.
Responsibilities
• Assist in scheduling and dispatching service technicians with dispatcher.
• Point of contact for service technicians.
• Give quotes for replacement/repairs.
• Oversee required parts are ordered by service coordinators to ensure work deadlines are met.
• Work directly with service technicians and customers to resolve system issues.
• Experience in the commercial & residential HVAC trade.
• Train and develop field technicians. Appraise performance, rewards and disciplines.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, reviewing, and terminating technicians.
• Proven management and coaching skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Oversees assigned service truck fleet/inventory.
• Serve as a technical back-up for field technicians when necessary.
• Other duties as necessary to assist in the operations of the company.
Required Qualifications:
• Detail oriented and highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.
• Basic computer skills required; MS Office, Service & Dispatch system.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proven track record in service, with five plus years in management.
• Ability to inspire and lead others to attain company goals.
• Multi-tasker who enjoys challenge.
• Highly motivated, top performer who can instill pride of workmanship in self and others.
• Strong communication skills/sales/customer service.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people and customers.
