The Collections Specialist will help ensure our company’s financials are accurate, timely, and relevant. You will assist in cash management, collection activities, chargeback/allowance disputes, month-end close, and other duties as assigned by management.
Performs daily collection activities, including the negotiation of payment arrangements,
Sending customer statements to past-due customers, resolving customer inquiries.
Maintains accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits & collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, & miscellaneous differences are resolved in a timely manner.
Escalate customer billing disputes or customer issues to Senior Management
Exercises integrity & confidentiality in financial reporting (including federal, state, local compliance)
Develop & maintain good working relationships with customers via regular contact, either by telephone or email
Manage customer queries & investigate as required to resolve any invoice queries
Identify, propose, & implement process improvements
Performs analytical analyses for management
Prepares & maintains various reports as required by management
Supports other accounting and finance team members as necessary
Analyzes customer balances and trends and makes recommendations to improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
Qualification
A minimum of 3+ years as an AR Collector in a fast-paced environment
High level of executive maturity and experience working with senior leadership.
Ability to complete work quickly, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround & take effective & thoughtful action.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
Effective interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Ability to adapt to change with ease.
Passion for process and organization.
Ability to drive targeted decrease in DSO, through structured, active communication with customers to collect outstanding aging primarily by telephone and email
Ability to influence without direct authority, managing details of complex projects with strong attention to quality.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and SharePoint drives.
