About the Role

The Account Executive (AE) will join our established sales team in Nashville, TN ('œ#8 Best Cities in the U.S.' ). Together with the team, this individual will spearhead our market growth by showcasing our market-leading products and live our mission of execution and results through our diverse talent.

The AE is responsible for new business within the assigned demographic market area (DMA) and will receive an area of named accounts and leads while being expected to penetrate leads and acquiring new customers.

Our AE's leverage a savvy and consultative selling approach that enables trust with our clients.

What You'll Do

Influence without authority; develop relationships with food-service leaders, on-site chef / culinarians, and key decision-makers.

Prospect and hunt for new business within a defined territory of accounts with support from Marketing, Business Intelligence, and people resources.

Passionately convey the Affinity Group's value proposition to acquire new customers.

Manage pipeline and sales activity with an ability to accurately forecast.

Must have the ability to conduct virtual and physical demonstrations showcasing product design and brand vision.

Work with prospects to quantify opportunities via a strategic need analysis (sales plan) and design creative solutions that deliver a seamless selling cycle.

Develop a strong understanding of key differentiators and the competitive landscape.

Update every customer touchpoint within our cloud-based CRM, with utmost data integrity for our clients.

Work closely with the Regional Sales Director to execute an ambitious market penetration strategy.

Who You Are

Credibility : 3-5 years of sales experience and a proven track record of success closing new business from outside and indirect sales.

Relationships : Positive demeanor, with a teachable attitude that connects across a wide range of diverse audiences.

Business Development : Experience calling on key accounts, market prospecting, and sales pipeline management.

Prioritization : Multi-tasking is easy within a constantly changing environment, with a surgical focus on producing new customers as the focus.

Urgency : Operates well in fast-moving environments with minimal oversight.

Product Knowledge : Understand the way to reach our goals is through a high level of product knowledge and closely listening to our customers' needs.

Teachable : A passion for self-learning, always seeking the next best approach, and quickly moves on opportunities, with little to no supervision.

Technical : Design creative menu combinations in support of the selling cycle. Experience or ability to learn how to ServSafe prepare food products.

Data-Driven. Can pay attention to the details needed for utmost data entry integrity.

Experience in food-service management, chef / culinary, or a combination that also includes outside sales is a plus.

What to Expect

Workweek : Mon-Fri from 8 : 00 A.M. to 5 : 00 P.M.

During the food trade show season, this position will require the ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to safely life case-goods (20-25 lbs.)

MVR : An active Driver's License, with a clean Motor Vehicle Record, is required.

Travel : Position requires daily travel via a personal motor vehicle to various locations daily.

Overnight travel : Pre-COVID : 4-5x month. Currently at 1-3x month.
