Capture and analyze business requirements for the successful transition of data base designs, data models and supporting schemas that meets the needs of specific objectives.

Database administrators (DBAs) work with technology, using specialized types of software to store and organize data.
A DBA makes sure that data is highly available to users, and that it's kept secure from unauthorized access or accidental loss or corruption.
Key Responsibilities:
• Database administration, maintenance and performance monitoring.
• Authenticating data and security models.
• Monitoring the performance of hardware and software and making sure high availability of data
• Configuring servers and databases to meet requirements of project objectives.
• Ensure enhanced data integrity and data quality protocols are leveraged.
• Ethically handling private data and organization data (storage / sharing).
• Extracting and/or loading data.
• Setting up cybersecurity measures.
• Ensuring all hardware and software are updated.
• Defining and Following data retention policy, CI/CD procedure and automation.
• Estimating storage cost and defining data storage strategies.
• Providing database solutions.
Skills and Experience:
• Experience writing complex database queries.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex database queries using enhanced technologies, tools and metrics.
• Current working knowledge of database theory and design principles.
• Knowledge about the RDBMS/No SQL itself, e.g. Microsoft SQL Server or Azure cloud platform, Oracle, Azure Cosmos DB.
• Knowledge of structured query language (SQL), e.g. SQL/PSM or Transact-SQL.
• General understanding of distributed computing architectures, e.g. Client–server model.
• General understanding of operating system, e.g. Windows or Linux.
• General understanding of storage technologies and networking.
• General understanding of routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failover of a database.
• Knowledge and experience about Data warehouse data modeling concepts.
• Experience using Microsoft Azure Cloud platform and services.

• Defining and redefining Technical process and procedures as needed.
• Perform unit and integration testing on all developed code – Create and execute unit and integration tests within development lifecycle
• Proactively benchmark application code to mitigate performance and scalability issues
• Work with Quality Assurance Team on issue reporting, resolution, and change control
• Support and Troubleshooting – Assist Operations Team with any environment issues during application deployment across Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
• Assist other teams with troubleshooting problems that may arise from applications or integration of various components
• Ability to work on multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in science/computer science
• 10 years of Database administrator experience in Microsoft technologies
• Microsoft Azure certified is preferred but optional
• Experience of working in Agile environment
