Senior Market Development Consultant - Global LeasingDescriptionJOB SUMMARY: Partner withMarketing to provide relationship management for Machine Business Division(MBD)—Solutions and Product Support (S&PS) Group.Design beginning and end of lease programswhile aligning and integrating lease solutions through delivering strategicvalue to the MBD and to the Financial Products Division (FPD) fieldorganization to support the sales of Caterpillar equipment.May review the work of or provide guidance tolower level lease team members.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as the primary relationship manager for leaseproducts.Activities are focused onalignment and integration with the MBD S&PS through delivering strategicvalue to the MBD and to the FPD field organization to support the sales ofCaterpillar equipment through leasing.

Participates in the development of lease product marketingcampaigns.

Develops merchandising programs using policies andprocedures set forth by FPD’s Global Marketing and GRMG.

Assesses market opportunities for leasing and proposes jointmarketing and merchandising programs to enhance sales after determining thefinancial needs of an identified market opportunity.

May develop and provide company and dealer training on Leasing,as well as customer seminars to promote Caterpillar Financial ServicesCorporation (CFSC) lease services in both new and existing market opportunity.

Identifies global and regional lease marketing materialneeds and provides content for materials.

Works with CFIS, CFAS andCat Card to sell the entire portfolio of FPD products.

Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvementobjectives for the department.Progresstoward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessarymeasurements and analysis of associated data.Participates in the identification of problem areas and development ofresolutions to address them.

Understands the Harassment policy of the company and isresponsible for its application in all aspects of employment.

QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTS:SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND KNOWLEDGE:

Thorough knowledge of andthe ability to identify and develop concepts for market segments by planningand implementing successful market strategies to assist in achieving thebusiness plan and/or incremental business for leasing.

Demonstrated ability toidentify specific financial marketplace needs (programs or new markets) throughdirect contact with customer and dealer personnel for leasing.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate with product,distribution and service business units as well as CFSC Regional Offices todefine market needs and propose joint marketing and merchandising programs toenhance lease sales.

Ability to maintain current lease plans to ensure theirappropriateness and competitiveness.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial marketingprograms (finance plans, focus programs, dealer incentive programs, etc.)responsive to customers and dealer needs.

Ability to develop and conduct company and dealer salesforce training and customer seminars promoting CFSC leasing.

Proven ability to assist CFSC Regions and Dealers with thecreation and development of lease marketing strategies and materials to supportdealer and user comprehension and usage of CFSC services.

Advanced knowledge of CFSC lease products.

Demonstrated knowledge of the industries served byCaterpillar dealers.

Workingknowledge of market segmentsapplication of equipment and acquisition needs ofend users.

Ability totravel. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A 4-year college or university degree in any discipline and aminimum of5years exempt experience in credit, customer services,collections, marketing and/or financial statement analysis is recommended.Previousexperience must be progressively increasing in responsibility andaccountability and demonstrate an ability to gain in knowledge, skills, andresponsibility such that a level of full competency can be reached.Equivalent experience may be substituted foreducation.
