Vin Rouge is a French Bistro located in Durham. Owners Giorgios Bakatsias and Matt
Kelly are considering applicants for the position of Head Chef. Opened in 2002, the
restaurant has relied on three things to build and maintain a top reputation in the Triangle: first,
a devotion to classic bistro fare. Second, the wine cellarâs brilliant snapshot of some of the best
French wine in the US. And finally, a heightened, yet friendly and unfussy service of warmth and
genuine hospitality. The qualified candidate will have experience running a kitchen, with a focus
on strong leadership skills and mentoring younger cooks. Most importantly, you will have a
sincere passion for cooking the French bistro food to its highest potential
everyday, and a reverence for the story these dishes and recipes tell. While simplicity
is a virtue here, there is complexity in the details, and consistent execution is the goal everyday.
You will enjoy long-standing relationships with some of the areaâs most highly-regarded
purveyors, and a very devoted clientele that holds Vin Rouge close to their heart, and keeps
its seats full. You will feel the fully committed support of two of the Triangleâs best restaurateurs
