Slow Hand Coffee + Bakeshop is seeking a talented breakfast cook to join our growing team. The position will provide challenging work with a focus on quality and fun, creative cooking. Expect to work in a high heat kitchen without a stove using fire, embers, brick ovens, fermentation and other primitive cooking methods and techniques to produce playful yet refined dishes. This is an exciting opportunity to gain knowledge and experience a stimulating, unconventional way to cook in a full-service restaurant.
Compensation:
⢠$14.00/HOUR
Duties and Responsibilities:
⢠Set up, maintain and breakdown assigned work station
⢠Complete all assigned prep work in a sanitary and efficient manner
⢠Prepare, cook and present every menu item according to recipes and specifications
⢠Handle food, equipment and facilities in a sanitary, respectful and safe manner
⢠Communicate throughout the shift with the chef, sous chef and management
⢠Receive, prep, cook and store food according to health department regulations
Requirements:
⢠1+ years experience as a breakfast cook (proper egg cookery is a big part of the job)
⢠Must be enthusiastically interested in food and beverage
⢠Proficient in the English language
⢠Ability to stand for 8+ hours
⢠Ability to lift 50+ pounds
⢠Ability to comply with health department regulations
⢠Ability to take direction from the chef, sous chef and management
⢠Must be professional, friendly, positive, punctual, teamwork oriented, energetic, organized, thorough and teachable
⢠Flexibility to work various kitchen stations
