Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary is a non-profit senior dog sanctuary in Mount Juliet, TN housing around 100 dogs in a free-roaming environment. We are growing rapidly and have several Dog Caretaker positions open.

We are looking for dependable dog-lovers to work part-time, with the possibility of promotion to full-time.
Responsibilities:
Feeding dogs
Administering medication
Cleaning (LOTS OF CLEANING)
General care of the dogs (walking, grooming, providing toys, etc.)
Monitoring for abnormalities and injuries (and reporting them to veterinary staff)
Communicating effectively with coworkers and management
Transporting dogs to and from the clinic
Qualifications:
Love for all dogs
Open scheduling availability
At least 18 years old
Dependable transportation
Great communication skills
Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
Ability to lift and carry 40lbs
Willingness and ability to break up a dog fight
Ability to pass a background check
Applicants must be able to work any hours from 7am to 8pm, seven days a week, including some holidays. Hours will vary, so we need a candidate with a very open schedule. (Schedules are prepared a week ahead of time.)
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have dependable transportation.
Work history and references are required.
Starting pay is $11 - $12 / hour, depending on experience.
New employees will receive an evaluation, and if appropriate, a pay increase after 90 days.
This is a long-term employment opportunity with plenty of room to learn and grow within the organization. This is NOT a short-term summer job.
